About software

TweetCOMis Microsoft COM component corresponding to Twitter API. Microsoft COM is a technology of the Microsoft standard to which the programming cooperation between the applications can be done by the same technology as use with OCX and ActiveX. C++. A variety of API accesses from a variegated programming language and the application such as Microsoft JScript, VBScript besides NET, and MS Office of Excel etc. to Twitter are enabled.

Please refer to the tutorial the basic using and refer to the reference for a detailed usage.

TweetCOM consists of two kinds of licenses.

TweetCOM Lite can use only individual use free of charge. A basic API access is offered.

TweetCOM PRO offers a more variegated API access. Please use PRO when more API use is necessary even if it is individual use for the purpose of uses other than individual use like use by the business and the company business etc. PRO is a license during year and is offered for a fee by one stand during 29,800 yen/per year. Paypal can be used for payment.

The function of PRO can be tried for two weeks.

  • The authentication corresponds to the OAuth authentication and the Basic authentication.
  • It doesn't correspond to a part of Twitter API. Moreover, correspondence schedules to be expanded by the further version improvement.
  • The treatment of a part of parameters are not same as Twitter API as it is and have been changed by the characteristic of the COM component. Moreover, it is not necessarily the one to promise a complete conforming.
  • Correspondence to ASP/ASP.NET is not confirmed. Moreover, the logical number of PC1 is necessary the license by one license. Please contact us when you need use from many is assumed like the WEB service etc.

Operation environment
  • The environment of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 is necessary.
  • Becomes an error when NET Framework 3.5 or more is not installed. In that case, please install .NET 3.5 distribution or from Windows Update.
  • Theoretical corresponds to WindowsXP/2003/Vista/7. However, the author confirmed with Windows7 Ultimate(32bit) / XP +SP3(32bit).
  • It can operates in the wow64 environment though it operates in 64bitOS. Therefore, it is necessary to execute it specifying 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WScript.exe' for instance in JScript specifying it.
Trial
  • The function of PRO can be tried for two weeks.
  • Please choose [License] menu - [Get Trial] after the TweetCOM setting screen is started.
  • The trial license can be obtained from one PC only once.
Sample
  • Two kinds of samples are bundled.
  • "[Sample] Update iTunes Playing.js" acquires the tune to which it is listening now from iTunes by way of the COM interface, and contributes the name of a song as tweet.
  • "[SAMPLE]Excel SimpleTwitterClient.xlsm", It is an example on Excel VBA. Acquisition and the contribution of the time line can be done as a simple client. Moreover, an arbitrary character string can be retrieved.
  • It is a sample to the end, and not the one to guarantee operation.

Method of introducing license
  1. Purchase Yearly License of TweetCOM from paypal, push the above-link "Purchase TweetCOM".
  2. When purchase ends, the E-mail will be sent toyou with license ID to the address you registers to Paypal. This E-mail is not reissued and keep it strictly, please.
  3. The TweetCOM setting screen started. From [License] Menu - [Registration of License], and input the license ID. It is necessary to do this with PC actually used.
  4. The license will be activated, and it comes to be able to use it automatically as PRO version. The license is effective to register for one year. License ID and the expiration date can be displayed from [License] Menu - [Confirmation of License].
  • As for one logical number, the license is necessary by one. There is no difference of development license/run time license etc.It is necessary in each PC used. It doesn't correspond to use by many like the distribution after it builds it in use and the development program with ASP/ASP.NET etc. in this license. Please contact us in this case.
  • It becomes impossible to use the license to register once again. It is necessary to need the initialization of license information to move use to other PC, and to do the registration of license again with the PC. Please contact us.

When you use TweetCOM, you are assumed to agree the following software licensing agreements. Please refrain from use when you not possible to agree.
